The MSK071D-0450-NN-M1-BP1-NNAN is an IndraDyn S synchronous servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MSK IndraDyn S Synchronous Motors series. As a rotary drive component, the unit converts electrical energy into controlled torque and speed for positioning tasks in industrial automation cells, gantry axes, and packaging lines. The motor combines the stator windings, a permanent-magnet rotor, and feedback hardware in one sealed housing. This integrated layout allows direct coupling to machine elements without requiring external belt transmissions or separate feedback devices. That arrangement also keeps the package compact and reduces the number of external mechanical interfaces on the driven axis.

Heat from the stator is removed by natural convection, so the motor does not require added fans or liquid-cooling hardware. The rotor and flange use reduced run-out geometry, which helps maintain stable shaft concentricity during high-speed operation. Position data are transmitted through the Hiperface interface, and the multiturn absolute optical encoder provides 128 signal periods for closed-loop motion control. Because the encoder is multiturn and absolute, position information remains available across multiple revolutions after startup. An electrically released holding brake supplies 23 Nm of static torque to secure the load when power is removed. The housing is sealed to IP65, and the motor uses size 071 with length code D and a power connector on side B.

The motor is intended to operate in ambient temperatures from 0–40 °C, which suits many cabinet and open-machine installations. Mechanical power is transferred through a shaft with a keyway, giving couplings or pulleys a positive connection to the rotor. This shaft style is commonly used where torque must be transferred without slip during repeated starts and stops. The winding insulation uses class 155 materials, allowing the motor to withstand elevated internal temperatures during normal duty.
