Finding the right code can be a real nightmare. There are thousands and thousands, or even millions of different types of codes. Luckily today we have set some standards which allow us to find part numbers much easier. Here is an example of a code type and how to recognize every section of it.
The MSK060C-0600-NN-S1-UP0-NNNN represents the type of product. This will allow you to find the product much easier, especially if there are many products with a similar name. Number 060 represents the size of the code, while letter C represents the length of a code. This will help you to find exactly which size a code is and how long is it. Number 0600 represents the winding of the code, for example, MSK060C = 0300, 0600. NN represents the Colling by natural convection.
S1 represents the type of encoder. Another beneficial addition which will allow you to find the right encoder in the sea of all different endeavors which exist out there. For example, S1 is Optical encoder with a Singleturn Hiperface with 128 signal periods. U represents the Electrical connection, for example, U = Connector, rotatable for 240 degrees. G Represents the Shaft, smooth shaft sealing ring which is an industry standard. Or a P which represents the Shaft with keyway acc. to DIN 6885-1 with shaft sealing ring.
And the NNNN represents the design of the code. This allows you to know the exact design of the code much easier. We all can remember times when finding the right code design was a real nightmare, luckily that has stayed in the past. And for last, NNNN usually represents the standard type of code.
