Thermal management relies on natural convection, so no external fan or liquid circuit is needed because heat is released through the housing surface during continuous duty. Dynamic feedback is provided through an optical encoder that communicates over the Hiperface interface and generates 128 signal periods per motor revolution, supplying the drive with detailed position data. The encoder is configured as a single-turn device, which suits applications where only one mechanical revolution must be tracked.
