Product Description

The MSK050C-0600-NN-S1-UG1-NNNN is a synchronous servomotor with an impressive performance capacity. As common with the MSK-type servo motors produced by Rexroth Indramat, this motor has a high-torque density, a compact design and a wide range of applications.

At default, it features all the basic properties of the MSK050C-0600 type motors. It weighs 6.3kg (including a holding brake weight of 0.9kg) and has frame dimensions of 98mm and 95mm for the frame size and centering diameter respectively. In terms of performance: It can generate a continuous torque of 5Nm at standstill, with a capacity for reaching torque outputs of 15Nm intermittently, for a 400ms interval. While speed is usually a trade-off with torque for most motors, this motor can be clocked at a maximum speed of 6000min-1; this makes it not only useful for applications requiring high-torque outputs, but at fast continuous operations too. To ensure the motor can operate in varying environmental conditions, it is designed within the specifications of the IP65 protection class, according to EN 60034-5. This ensures it is well protected from dust and water, which allows for cleaning using fresh water; however, it might not be impervious to the use of other solvents or penetrating oils during cleaning or operations. In terms of its unique features, different from the generic MSK050C-0600 type motors, it comes in a standard housing design with a basic optical encoder: a single turn Hiperface with 128 signal periods. The shaft type is a smooth and standard type with shaft sealing rings, and it has two electrical ports for the power cable and encoder output to drive controller.

Finally, the motor cools off via natural convection, to reduce potential for overheating and consequently motor damage. Performance, ruggedness and durability, these are characteristics for which the MSK050C-0600-NN-S1-UG1-NNNN motor stands out.
