The MSK050C-0300-NN-M2-UP0-RNNN is an IndraDyn S synchronous servomotor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MSK IndraDyn S Synchronous Motors series. In automated production cells, this motor converts precisely regulated current from a Rexroth drive into axial torque and speed for axes that handle positioning, indexing, or interpolated motion. Applications include pick-and-place gantries, form-fill-seal stations, and small machining centers where fast response and repeatable accuracy are required. Integrated feedback and a sealed housing let the unit mount directly on moving carriages without separate sensors or additional protective enclosures.

The motor is cooled by natural convection, so its finned frame must be exposed to ambient air rather than enclosed behind forced-air or liquid circuits. An enclosure rating of IP65 blocks dust and low-pressure water jets during washdown or metal-cutting operations. Continuous duty is supported between 0–40 °C; beyond this window, output must be derated to avoid thermal saturation. The stator windings are insulated to Class 155, allowing internal copper temperatures up to 155 °C before accelerated aging occurs. Feedback is supplied by an optical encoder that communicates through the EnDat 2.1 digital interface. Its disk yields 2048 signal periods per revolution while the gear set records a multiturn absolute position value, eliminating homing after power cycles. The encoder plug is rotatable through 240°, so cabling can be angled clear of adjacent hardware once the motor is secured. Mechanical power exits through a shaft with keyway, and the increased concentricity design keeps radial runout low when the 050-frame, C-length motor is coupled to pulleys or gearheads. The unit is supplied without a holding brake to minimize reflected inertia.
