The Bosch Rexroth MSK050B-0600-NN-S1-UG1-NNNN is a MSK servo motor. It features several integrated features that include a holding brake, optical encoder, rotatable power and feedback connectors and a smooth shaft with a sealing ring. The sealing ring on the shaft improves the motor performance and also enhances its operating life span. The seal does this by preventing leakage of oil from the motor and by preventing ingress of dust and moisture into the motor. The shaft seal suffers from wear during operation. Therefore the seal should be inspected on a periodic basis and replaced when it has degraded beyond an acceptable threshold. The holding brake on the MSK050B-0600-NN-S1-UG1-NNNN motor is an electrically releasing brake that is rated for 6 Nm holding torque. The encoder is a singleturn device rated for 128 signal periods.

The MSK050B-0600-NN-S1-UG1-NNNN motor cools via natural convection. Therefore proper ventilation should be ensured by removing all impediments to smooth air flow. The motor performance specifications are valid for 0 to 40 degrees Celsius temperature and altitudes of up to 1000 meters. The permitted range for relative humidity is 5 to 95%.
