Product Description:
The MSK040C-0600-NN-M1-UP0-NNNN-SA002 servomotor is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the MSK IndraDyn S Synchronous Motors series. As an IndraDyn S synchronous servomotor, it converts electrical energy into precise rotary motion for positioning and velocity control in automated machinery, robotics, and packaging lines. The manufacturer couples compact stator technology with a permanent-magnet rotor to deliver dynamic response suitable for drive systems that require repeatable accuracy across extended duty cycles. It integrates a feedback encoder to maintain closed-loop regulation.
The unit relies on Natural convection to remove heat, so enclosure airflow must be unobstructed to keep the winding temperature within limits during continuous duty. Its feedback cable exits through a Rotatable, 240° connector, allowing the installer to orient the plug in several directions and simplify routing inside crowded cabinets. Position data is exchanged over the Hiperface protocol, which carries both power and digital feedback on a hybrid line. Inside the encoder, an Optical scanning system generates 128 signal periods per revolution; the high count improves interpolation accuracy at low speeds. Because the measuring system is a Multiturn Absolute type, the motor reports an unambiguous shaft position over many revolutions without needing a homing move after power-up.
The output shaft has keyway, giving positive engagement with standard hub components and preventing slip under cyclic torque. With the compact envelope defined by Motor Size 040 and the intermediate Motor Length C, rotor inertia stays low, which improves acceleration in pick-and-place axes. The stator uses Winding Code 0600 that matches the drive’s current rating for this frame, enabling continuous torque without forced cooling. A standard housing design simplifies mounting, and the motor is supplied without a holding brake, so machines that need static load support must rely on external clamping or regenerative torque from the drive.
