Product Description

The MSK040C-0450-NN-M3-UP0-NNNN synchronous servomotor from Bosch Rexroth is designed for use in potentially explosive areas in zone 2 and zone 22 atmospheres. This servomotor must always be used only in the intended manner to avoid personnel injury and/or damage to property. The product should be used only in those areas where there is no possibility of explosion during normal operation. The device is one of the several MSK product groups of such motors from the manufacturer. The unit is intended to be used only with an IndraDrive drive control that functions as a converter. Its connected drive controller is supposed to be programmed before startup so that the motor performs the application-specific functions.

The motor may cause the associated drive to move dangerously if it is controlled in a faulty manner. The product is intended to operate between 0°Cand 40°C. This device comes with a size code of 040. The unit has an insulated structure and a radial shaft sealing ring. The servomotor uses a Hiperface multi-turn absolute encoder with 16 signal periods and 4,096 distinguishable revolutions. The synchronous motor is capable of retaining the absolute position of the related axis even after turning OFF the power supply. This product is equipped with IP 65 degree of protection.

The device is designed for B05 flange assembly. The unit can be installed both horizontally and vertically. It must be checked that there is no fluid retention on the output shaft when the synchronous motor is installed vertically for a prolonged period. The product makes use of a 240° rotatable connector for its electrical connection. This device comes balanced with a full key. The shaft sealing ring of the unit is an abrasive seal and is prone to wear and tear without sufficient cleanliness and lubrication at the sealing point.
