As a compact AC actuator, this motor converts drive current into controlled torque and speed for positioning axes in packaging lines, pick-and-place modules, and similar automation tasks. The unit’s winding code 0450 and size 040 geometry match IndraDrive controllers for the torque range available within its B-length housing. Its compact format also suits installations where axis spacing is limited but repeatable motion is still required.

Heat generated during operation is removed by natural convection, eliminating the need for forced-air or liquid cooling and keeping the surrounding layout simple. Position feedback is handled by an optical encoder that uses the EnDat2.1 interface, so position and diagnostic data are transmitted digitally to the drive. The measuring system provides 2048 signal periods, which supports fine interpolation for accurate axis control.
