It has a “two in one” kind of encoder which simultaneously holds the properties of an incremental as well as absolute encoder. Its system accuracy has been found to be plus minus 80 angular seconds and it is able to record the indirect position within every 4096 mechanical revolutions. However a battery backup is required for its microcontroller to let it keep the record of absolute position of the axis safe in case of abnormal shutdowns due to power failure or any other reason.

The MSK030B-0900-NN-M1-UP0-NNNN IndraDyn S servomotor has a shaft with keyway and sealing ring added to its design to provide safety for the shaft. Rexroth suggests class 3K4 as suitable climatic conditions for its motors therefore special measures should be taken to ensure endorsed air temperatures and humidity levels in order to get the best possible outputs. It is found that high vibrations can have adverse effects on the performance of IndraDyn S motors therefore they should be deployed carefully to ensure the robustness of the system.
