The MS2M02-A0FNN-KMDH0 is an ultra-compact synchronous servomotor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MS2M Ultra Compact Motors series. Designed for space-limited axes, the motor converts the inverter’s three-phase output into rotary motion for precision positioning stages, pick-and-place heads, and light conveyor segments in industrial automation. Its low-inertia rotor supports fast acceleration profiles in modern packaging and assembly machines. The compact housing also allows the motor to fit into tightly arranged machinery where installation space is limited.
The electrical interface uses a three-phase 230 V AC stator supply that matches standard low-voltage inverters. Under this excitation, the motor produces a peak torque of 0.48 Nm, while its continuous standstill torque is 0.16 Nm. Position feedback comes from an optical 23-bit encoder that supports single-turn and multi-turn counting and operates from a 4.75–5.25 V logic supply. Encoder and power conductors share an M17 SPEEDCON quick-lock connector set, and the housing has an IP65 ingress protection rating for dusty or splash-prone areas. The 3000 rpm winding and natural-convection cooling support rapid reversals without requiring a separate cooling fan. A plain 8 mm shaft is supplied without a sealing ring and couples through a keyless collet to minimize backlash.
The front flange follows ISO dimensions, with a bolt circle of 45 mm, an overall flange size of 38 mm, and a 30 mm spigot that centers the frame on gearheads or tables. The motor weighs 0.57 kg, which reduces the moving mass carried by linear stages. It can operate at ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C and at elevations up to 1000 m without derating. Sound pressure remains below 65 dB(A) during operation. Frame size 2 and frame length A keep the body short, while the 22 mm shaft end includes an M3 mounting thread for axial retention. A double metal lead-wire cable exits the housing. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, so the drive or an external mechanical device must provide static locking.
