In industrial automation, it supplies precisely controlled torque and velocity to linear or rotary axes. This control enables accurate positioning in packaging, assembly, and material-handling equipment.
Its nominal shaft speed reaches 2000 rpm, providing a moderate base speed that suits both indexing and continuous motion. Position feedback comes from an Advanced Performance ACUROlink multi-turn encoder whose single-turn channel delivers 20-bit resolution and whose memory stores 4096 revolutions for absolute positioning after power loss. An enclosure sealed to IP65 blocks dust and sprayed liquids. Rated output is maintained at ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C without derating, and the motor can operate from sea level up to an installation altitude of 1,000 m. A PT1000 temperature sensor embedded in the stator supports thermal monitoring. Deep-groove ball bearings guide the rotor, and the motor does not have a holding brake, which reduces rotational inertia.
