The MS2E05-D0BRN-CSSG1-NNNNN-NN synchronous servomotor is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MS2E Synchronous Servomotors series. It is a three-phase permanent-magnet unit that drives axes requiring quick acceleration because of its low-inertia rotor. An Advanced Performance ACUROlink single-turn encoder, limited to one absolute revolution, supplies high-speed feedback for precise position and speed control.
The shaft has a nominal speed of 4500 rpm under rated operating conditions. The housing is sealed to IP65, so airborne dust and low-pressure water jets cannot reach internal parts. A 20-bit functional encoder resolution provides the positional granularity needed for precise contouring at the drive controller. When power is removed, a size 1 electrically released brake supplies 10.00 Nm of holding torque to keep vertical loads from drifting. Operation without thermal derating is permitted from 0 to 40 °C, which matches typical machine operating conditions. Additional features include deep-groove ball bearings for radial rigidity, a 95 mm centering collar for concentric mounting, and a 98 mm square flange machined to standard accuracy.
The motor has ATEX-compliant construction, allowing installation in designated zones with explosive gas or dust hazards. It uses self-cooling and has a rotatable single-cable power and signal interface that terminates in an M23 connector. Internal winding temperature is monitored by a PT1000 sensor, allowing the drive to limit the load before insulation temperature limits are exceeded. The unit fits the B5 / IM3001 mounting style, uses 9 mm through holes on a 115 mm bolt circle, and has a smooth shaft with an integral sealing ring for oil-tight gearbox coupling. A RAL 9005 varnish coating protects the housing against corrosion, and the motor is rated for installation at elevations up to 1,000 m above mean sea level.
