Operation without thermal derating is permitted from 0 to 40 °C, which matches typical machine operating conditions. The motor has ATEX-compliant construction, allowing installation in designated zones with explosive gas or dust hazards. It uses self-cooling and has a rotatable single-cable power and signal interface that terminates in an M23 connector. Internal winding temperature is monitored by a PT1000 sensor, allowing the drive to limit the load before insulation temperature limits are exceeded.
