Product Description:
The MS2E05-C0BTN-CMSK1-NNNNN-NN synchronous servomotor is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the MS2E Synchronous Servomotors series. Designed as a three-phase permanent-magnet unit for industrial automation, it combines a low-inertia rotor with motor size code 05 and frame length C to provide rapid response. Mechanical installation follows the B5 / IM3001 standard; a 98 mm flange, 9 mm mounting holes, and a 115 mm bolt circle secure the housing, while a 95 mm centering collar assists with alignment. Power, feedback, and brake lines share a rotatable M23 single-cable interface, which reduces the number of separate connections required at the motor. The keyed shaft is protected by a sealing ring, and deep-groove ball bearings carry radial and axial loads during operation.
The motor reaches 6000 rpm, and its ACUROlink encoder provides a 20-bit resolution per revolution. Continuous operation is permitted from 0 to 40 °C without output reduction when the installation altitude remains within 0 to 1,000 m above sea level. Heat is removed through self-cooling, eliminating the need for external fans or liquid-cooling circuits. The enclosure has an IP65 protection rating, helping prevent dust and water jets from reaching internal components. A RAL 9005 varnish finish provides additional resistance to moisture and contaminants on the external housing. A PT1000 sensor supplies winding temperature data to the drive controller, allowing the control system to monitor thermal conditions during operation. The advanced multi-turn encoder sends absolute position data to compatible motion modules for accurate positioning after the system is powered on.
A size 1 brake provides 10.00 Nm of holding torque and locks the rotor whenever the release coil is de-energized. The encoder retains position information across 4096 mechanical revolutions, enabling immediate startup without a homing sequence after a power cycle. The motor is ATEX compliant, supporting installation in designated areas where potentially explosive atmospheres may occur. Standard flange accuracy supports precise alignment with connected machinery, while the brake can hold a stationary load when drive power is unavailable. The single-cable connection can be rotated to accommodate different cable-routing directions without changing the motor mounting position.
