The MS2E05-C0BTN-CMSK0-NNNNN-NN is a three-phase permanent-magnet servo motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MS2E Synchronous Servomotors series. Classified as a three-phase permanent-magnet motor, it uses a low-inertia rotor and a high-performance feedback interface to deliver rapid, repeatable positioning for conveyors, pick-and-place modules, and articulated axes within automated production cells. Its architecture is compatible with IndraDrive controllers and common fieldbus topologies, giving machine builders a compact drive solution that converts electrical power into precise mechanical motion.
The motor reaches a rated shaft speed of 6000 rpm, enabling high traverse rates in small tooling spaces. Position data come from an Advanced Performance ACUROlink multi-turn encoder, and the single-turn track provides a resolution of 20 bits. Multi-turn counting preserves the absolute position after a power loss. Heat generated by copper losses is removed through self-cooling, so no external fan or liquid manifold is required. The housing provides IP65 ingress protection with a shaft sealing ring and is ATEX compliant, making the unit suitable for dusty or potentially explosive areas. A PT1000 sensor relays the winding temperature to the drive, while deep-groove ball bearings support radial and axial loads. The motor is supplied without a holding brake to minimize mass and inertia.
Machine-side integration follows the B5 / IM3001 mounting pattern. The face measures 98 mm and includes a centering collar of 95 mm, a 115 mm bolt circle, four 9 mm mounting holes, and standard flange accuracy. The frame has a C length code, and the assembly fits motor size 05. A keyed shaft with a sealing ring transmits torque while helping prevent lubricant leakage. Power and feedback share a single-cable connection with a rotatable M23 plug, reducing cable requirements and cabinet bulk. The encoder can track 4096 absolute revolutions. Reliable operation is maintained within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 40 °C and at altitudes up to 1,000 m. A RAL 9005 varnish coating protects the enclosure from abrasion.
