The MS2E04-C0BTN-EMDL0-NNNNS-G1 is a three-phase permanent-magnet synchronous servomotor engineered by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MS2E Synchronous Servomotors series. Designed for demanding positioning and velocity loops in automated machinery, the unit converts electrical energy into controlled mechanical rotation for assembly stations, packaging lines, and material-handling axes. Its low-inertia rotor supports quick acceleration, while the lack of a holding brake reduces motor mass and length.
The motor operates at a nominal speed of 6000 rpm, enabling rapid cycle times in indexing tables. A multi-turn optical encoder tracks shaft position and retains up to 4096 absolute revolutions, so the drive can recover position after a power interruption without reference moves. The motor has an IP65 rating with a shaft sealing ring, protecting the stator interior from dust and water jets during washdown cleaning. The motor maintains its thermal performance at ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C without output derating. Self-cooling fins dissipate heat, while deep-groove ball bearings support continuous high-speed rotation. Operation is permitted at elevations up to 1,000 m above mean sea level.
The mechanical interface complies with mounting style B5 / IM3001 and uses an 82 mm square flange. Its bolt circle measures 95 mm, and the four mounting holes are 6.6 mm in diameter. A centering collar measuring 50 mm ensures concentric alignment with gearboxes. The motor uses frame designation C within size code 04 for its stack length, and the flange surfaces follow the standard accuracy grade. The housing has a RAL 9005 varnish coating for corrosion resistance, and the design has ATEX compliance for operation in explosive atmospheres. A PT1000 sensor monitors the internal winding temperature and allows the drive to reduce output when necessary.
