Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s MS2E04-C0BNN-CMSG0-NNNNN-NN is a synchronous servomotor released within the MS2E Synchronous Servomotors series. Classified as a three-phase permanent-magnet unit, it supplies accurate torque and velocity control for industrial automation axes that must satisfy ATEX requirements. The motor couples directly to Rexroth drives through single-cable technology and supports multi-turn absolute feedback, making it suitable for positioning roles in pick-and-place stations, feeders, and small conveying equipment where compact dimensions and fast dynamic response are required.
At a nominal speed of 3000 rpm, the motor reaches full angular velocity without derating throughout the 0 to 40 °C ambient temperature range. Its multi-turn feedback offers 20-bit single-turn precision and stores position across 4,096 revolutions. The data stream is generated by the Advanced Performance ACUROlink encoder and is carried with the power conductors through a rotatable M23 single-cable connector, minimizing cabinet wiring. Because the motor has a low-inertia design, the rotor responds quickly, and deep-groove ball bearings guide the smooth shaft while a PT1000 sensor reports the winding temperature. The housing has an IP65 protection rating with a shaft sealing ring, and the assembly is supplied with no holding brake, making it appropriate for installations up to 1,000 m above sea level. A matte RAL 9005 varnish protects the exterior from dust and other airborne contaminants.
The mechanical interface follows the B5 / IM3001 standard and has a flange width of 82 mm, a 95 mm hole circle, and 6.6 mm mounting holes. Concentricity is supported by a 50 mm centering collar, while frame length code C and motor size code 04 keep the overall length and mass moderate for compact machines. Heat is removed through surface convection, a method identified as self-cooling, so no external blower or liquid cooling loop is required. The standard flange accuracy supports proper alignment with compatible machine surfaces, gearboxes, and couplings during installation.
