The MS2E04-B0BNN-CMSK1-NNNNN-NN is a three-phase permanent-magnet servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MS2E Synchronous Servomotors series. In automation systems, the unit drives precision axes and uses a multi-turn feedback device to retain position data across multiple revolutions. An electrically released Size 1 holding brake clamps the load when power is removed. The self-cooling design provides a compact motion source that meets explosive-atmosphere requirements without an auxiliary cooling system.
The motor reaches a rated output speed of 3000 rpm, supporting cyclic positioning at ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C and installation altitudes up to 1,000 m. When engaged, the brake provides a holding torque of 5.00 Nm for static load support. Position feedback is supplied by the Advanced Performance ACUROlink system, which provides a 20-bit single-turn resolution and tracks 4,096 absolute revolutions. The housing has an IP65 protection rating, preventing dust and low-pressure water jets from entering the motor. The unit is ATEX compliant for operation in applicable regulated zones. Heat dissipates through the stator surface, while deep-groove ball bearings reduce friction and support rotor movement. A rotatable M23 single-cable connector carries power, feedback signals, and the brake supply through one connection.
The motor uses the B5 / IM3001 mounting pattern for attachment to compatible machine surfaces and servo gearboxes. Its centering collar has a diameter of 50 mm, allowing the motor to align accurately with the connected equipment. The square flange measures 82 mm across. Its bolt circle measures 95 mm and uses 6.6 mm mounting holes. A keyway shaft transfers torque through positive engagement with a coupling, while a shaft sealing ring helps prevent lubricant leakage and contaminant entry. Frame length code B and motor size code 04 keep the housing compact, and standard flange accuracy supports consistent alignment. The RAL 9005 varnish finish helps protect the exterior from common plant contaminants.
