Product Description:
The MS2E04-B0BNN-CMSG0-NNNNN-NN is a three-phase permanent-magnet motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MS2E Synchronous Servomotors series. As a drive component, it converts current from an IndraDrive inverter into controlled torque for positioning tasks. This operation allows automated equipment to follow precise speed commands on production lines and assembly stages.
The motor achieves a nominal speed of 3000 rpm and reaches this value quickly because the rotor has low inertia. The mechanical interface follows the B5 / IM3001 mounting standard. An 82 mm flange with standard accuracy mates to machine frames through a 95 mm hole circle and 6.6 mm mounting holes, while a 50 mm centering collar keeps radial runout within tolerance. The motor provides IP65 protection with a shaft sealing ring, which protects against dust and water jets. The smooth shaft is sealed by that ring to contain lubricant. Heat is removed through self-cooling, so no external blower or liquid circuit is required. Internal feedback is supplied by an Advanced Performance ACUROlink multiturn encoder that offers a functional single-turn resolution of 20 bits. The deep-groove ball bearing set supports radial loads, and the RAL 9005 varnish coating protects the housing against corrosion. A single rotatable M23 connector carries power, signal, and encoder lines, while a PT1000 sensor reports the winding temperature.
The multiturn encoder stores the absolute position across up to 4096 mechanical revolutions, enabling homing-free positioning after power cycling. Operation is permitted from 0 to 40 °C without current derating and at an altitude of 0 to 1,000 m above mean sea level. The motor is ATEX-compliant, allowing installation in designated zones where explosive atmospheres may occur. Because the unit is supplied without a holding brake, external mechanical clamping or drive torque must maintain the load position when power is removed. The motor has frame length code B and motor size code 04.
