Product Description:
The MS2E04-B0BNN-CMSG0-NNNBN-NN is a three-phase permanent-magnet servo motor developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MS2E Synchronous Servomotors series. As a drive element, it couples with Rexroth inverters to deliver closed-loop position and velocity control for pick-and-place axes, packaging stations, and similar automation tasks. The unit has motor size code 04 and frame length code B. Its smooth shaft includes a sealing ring, allowing it to transmit torque through a suitable coupling while maintaining the housing’s protection rating.
The motor has a nominal speed of 3000 rpm, allowing direct coupling to moderate-speed machinery without external gearing. Feedback is supplied by an Advanced Performance ACUROlink multi-turn encoder that offers a 20-bit single-turn resolution and stores position data across 4096 mechanical revolutions. This encoder provides the drive controller with high-precision absolute position data immediately after power is applied. The motor housing provides IP65 protection when the shaft sealing ring is installed, allowing operation in dusty areas or locations exposed to water spray. Continuous operation is supported at ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C without output derating. The motor does not include a holding brake, so an external clamping device must secure the load when power is removed.
The motor uses a B5 / IM3001 mounting pattern. Its square flange measures 82 mm and centers on a 50 mm collar, while four mounting holes with a diameter of 6.6 mm align on a 95 mm bolt circle. This arrangement supports accurate installation in modular machine frames. The rotor belongs to the low inertia class, allowing the axis to accelerate quickly with moderate drive current. Thermal status is relayed through a built-in PT1000 sensor, which enables the drive to monitor motor temperature during operation. Heat generated by copper losses is removed through self-cooling airflow over the varnish-coated RAL 9005 surface. The motor can operate at elevations up to 1,000 m above sea level without auxiliary fans.
