Product Description:
The MS2E03-D0BYN-EMDL1-NNNNS-G1 is a three-phase permanent-magnet servomotor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MS2E Synchronous Servomotors series. Designed for dynamic automation axes, it converts drive current into precise torque and speed so that compact machinery can achieve accurate motion profiles while meeting ATEX requirements for flameproof components. The motor’s protected housing and onboard feedback interface support integration into small pick-and-place stations, packaging lines, and semiconductor tools.
Its nominal shaft speed reaches 9000 rpm, allowing high cycle rates without external fans because the unit relies on self-cooling. Continuous operation is permitted at an ambient temperature of 0 to 40 °C without derating and at an installation altitude of up to 1,000 m. A deep-groove ball bearing set carries radial and axial loads, and a PT1000 temperature sensor reports the winding temperature to the drive. The enclosure provides IP65 protection with a shaft sealing ring for resistance to dust and water jets, while the black RAL 9005 varnish provides additional surface protection. Mechanical attachment follows the B5 / IM3001 pattern. A 58 mm square flange with standard flange accuracy mates to machinery through a 63 mm bolt circle and 4.5 mm mounting holes, while a 40 mm centering collar simplifies coaxial alignment. ATEX conformity allows placement in hazardous areas, and the rotor can be restrained by a holding torque of 1.80 Nm during standstill.
The feedback system uses a multi-turn encoder that resolves up to 4096 mechanical revolutions, so absolute position remains available after power loss. Dynamic starts and stops are assisted by the motor’s low-inertia rotor. The elongated D frame works with size code 03 to keep mass low while preserving torque density. For vertical axes, the shaft can be secured by a size 1 electrically released brake that engages whenever power is removed.
