It occupies the 03 frame size and the D length class within the series. The unit supplies fast, repeatable motion for indexing tables, linear stages, and compact handling modules that rely on precise servo feedback rather than open-loop induction drives.
At a nominal shaft speed of 9000 rpm, the motor supports rapid cycle rates while remaining within permissible mechanical limits. Position information is delivered by an Advanced Performance ACUROlink multi-turn encoder that offers a single-turn resolution of 20 bits and stores the absolute position over 4096 revolutions, enabling startups without homing. The housing has an IP65 protection rating and an integrated shaft sealing ring, so it tolerates dust and low-pressure washdown conditions. A precision-wound stator incorporates a PT1000 temperature sensor, allowing the connected drive to monitor thermal conditions and trigger a controlled shutdown when necessary. The low-inertia rotor supports quick reversals, while deep-groove ball bearings provide stable shaft support at high speeds. A self-cooling design removes heat without an external blower, and the motor is supplied without an integral holding brake.
Mounting follows the B5 / IM3001 pattern, and the square steel flange measures 58 mm, matching compact gearboxes and machine mounting plates. The motor has ATEX compliance for use in areas where combustible dust or gases may be present, provided all applicable installation rules are followed. Reliable operation is permitted from sea level up to 1,000 m and within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 40 °C without derating. The varnish coating in RAL 9005 resists oils and cutting fluids encountered around industrial machinery. A single rotatable M23 hybrid connector simplifies wiring by combining power, encoder, and sensor conductors in one cable. The keyed shaft transfers torque through positive engagement with a compatible coupling, while the shaft seal helps prevent lubricant ingress.
