The MS2E03-D0BYN-CMSG1-NNNNN-NN is a three-phase permanent-magnet servomotor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MS2E Synchronous Servomotors series. In industrial automation cells, it provides high-speed, closed-loop rotary motion for axes that require compact dimensions and explosion protection. The unit connects to a compatible drive through a single hybrid cable that carries power, encoder data, and brake control, simplifying cabinet wiring and reducing the number of separate connections.
The motor operates at a nominal speed of 9000 rpm, supporting short cycle times in applications that require rapid motion. Position feedback is supplied by an Advanced Performance ACUROlink multiturn encoder that offers a 20-bit single-turn resolution and records 4096 revolutions, allowing the axis to retain its position after a power loss. A PT1000 sensor monitors temperature and helps the drive keep the motor within its ambient operating range of 0 to 40 °C. Continuous output is available at altitudes up to 1,000 m without derating. Heat is removed through self-cooling, eliminating the need for an external fan or liquid-cooling circuit. Deep-groove ball bearings reduce friction during high-speed operation. The smooth, sealed shaft and housing provide IP65 protection, while ATEX conformity permits operation in applicable hazardous areas. A size 1 electrically released brake provides 1.80 Nm of holding torque when electrical power is removed. Power and feedback share a rotatable M23 single-cable connector, and the RAL 9005 varnish protects the housing surface. A B5 / IM3001 interface supports standard mounting arrangements for three-phase permanent-magnet motors.
The motor uses a 58 mm flange with standard accuracy and a 40 mm centering collar for repeatable alignment during installation. Four mounting holes are positioned on a 63 mm bolt circle and accept fasteners with a maximum diameter of 4.5 mm, matching the B5 mounting pattern while supporting the compact motor size 03 housing. Frame length D extends the magnetic stack without changing the flange dimensions, allowing greater continuous torque within the same mounting outline. The low-inertia rotor supports rapid acceleration and deceleration during repetitive positioning cycles. The coated housing protects the motor surface during operation in industrial environments.
