The MS2E03-D0BYN-CMSG0-NNNNN-NN is a three-phase permanent-magnet synchronous servomotor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MS2E Synchronous Servomotors series. In automated machinery, the motor supplies precise torque and velocity control for dynamic positioning tasks. Typical applications include pick-and-place axes, packaging spindles, and other systems that require rapid response. Its compact dimensions allow it to fit into machines where installation space is limited.
The low-inertia rotor supports quick acceleration to a maximum speed of 9000 rpm without excessive overshoot. Motion feedback is provided by an Advanced Performance ACUROlink multi-turn encoder with a functional single-turn resolution of 20 bits. The encoder records 4,096 absolute revolutions, enabling tight servo control and startups without a homing cycle. The design is ATEX compliant, allowing installation in designated areas where explosive atmospheres may occur. The housing has an IP65 rating that protects internal components against dust and water jets. Heat is removed through self-cooling, eliminating the need for forced air or liquid cooling while supporting operation from 0 to 40 °C and at installation altitudes up to 1,000 m. A PT1000 sensor embedded in the windings reports temperature to the drive controller, while deep-groove ball bearings provide shaft support.
The motor uses a single cable connection to route power, signals, and encoder data through a rotatable M23 plug. It mounts to gearboxes or adapter plates with a 40 mm centering collar, a 58 mm square flange, and a B5 / IM3001 mounting interface. The mounting interface has a 63 mm hole circle and 4.5 mm mounting holes. The motor has frame length code D and size code 03, corresponding to its stack depth and magnetic loading. A smooth shaft with a sealing ring connects to clamping couplings without requiring a keyway. External surfaces have RAL 9005 varnish for corrosion resistance, and the flange maintains standard accuracy tolerances for consistent alignment.
