The MMD042A-030-EG1-KN is an AC servomotor in the MMD series of motors from Bosch Rexroth. The motor must be used in conjunction with the DMD01.1-W0 42 servo drive from the same manufacturer. The product must not support any connection at its P, B terminals. The phases of the device cannot be changed like in an induction motor for setting the rotation direction. The changeover of the position deviation and motor velocity can be set using the analog monitor output changeover parameter. The motor speed can be controlled by the speed corresponding to the externally supplied input signal level.

The servomotor has a motor size of 42 and a length code of A. The output signal of the drive helps in controlling the brake of the product. If the protection function is operated when the device is running, the motor transforms to non-power state and the BRK-OFF signal gets cut off when the motor speed is less than or nearly equal to 30r/min. When there is an abnormal increase in the output current of the converter section, the motor must be checked for mutual shorting of the connecting lines as well as the deterioration of the unit’s insulation. The insulation resistance between the motor earth and motor connecting terminals must also be checked.

If the count of the position deviation pulses is more than the allowed range, a check must be done to ensure that the servomotor runs according to the position command pulses. The device comes with working and storage humidity of 85%. The brake has a current rating of 0.4A and a voltage rating of 24V. The motor encompasses a plain shaft that is equipped with a sealing ring. In the torque control mode, the torque command can be used to control the motor torque output.
