The MHP112C-024-HG0-BNNNNN is a permanent-magnet synchronous motor in the MHP Synchronous Motors series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Designed for integrated motion axes and gantry drives, the unit converts electrical power from a matched Rexroth drive into controlled rotary torque for positioning, indexing, and continuous-duty production tasks. It is used on conveyors, packaging stations, and machining centers to keep cycle times repeatable under varying mechanical loads. Its permanent-magnet design also supports responsive servo control during repeated start, stop, and speed-change sequences.

The motor is tuned for a base speed of 2500 rpm, where rated torque is delivered without field weakening. When the control system enters field weakening, rotor velocity can climb to 4500 rpm, giving extra headroom for rapid traverse moves. Four pole pairs link the stator frequency to mechanical speed, so the nominal electrical frequency of 167 Hz produces synchronous rotation at base speed. A high-resolution feedback device with 2048 increments provides fine position granularity for servo loops. That feedback helps the drive maintain smooth interpolation and accurate position correction during rapid moves and short indexing cycles. At start-up or during load shocks, the rotor can deliver 148.0 Nm of theoretical maximum torque, giving the axis a margin against stalling. The generated back EMF follows a constant of 145.5 V/1000 rpm, which the drive uses to determine DC-bus utilization and field-weakening thresholds. Phase inductance is 6.7 mH, so voltage rise is filtered enough to keep current ripple within controller limits. A housing rated IP65 blocks dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, allowing installation on open production lines without additional enclosures. This protection level also allows the motor to be mounted close to the machine process area when airborne debris or routine washdown spray is present. The 48 kg mass adds thermal capacity, while a phase resistance of 0.43 Ω sets the continuous copper loss level.
