The MHD131D-024-PP2-BN model represents the latest motion control technology by Rexroth Indramat. The model provides maintenance-free operation and high functional stability when used together with the digital drive controller specified by the company. The MHD131 synchronous motor is also known as a permanent magnet motor and comes with a natural convection/surface cooling mode. To hold the servo axis during the deceleration stage, a 240 Nm holding brake is placed in this motor along with an output shaft (balanced with keyways). The model takes 177 – 279 V electrical connection through its B-side power connector, situated at the top of the motor. The MHD synchronous motor is designed to operate at the maximum speed of 3000 rpm to deliver the peak torque of 448 Nm while consuming the maximum current of 398 A. With the 60-K increase in housing temperature, the motor delivers the continuous torque of 160 Nm at the continuous current of 88.4 Nm whereas, with the 100-K increase in winding temperature the motor consumes 132.6 A of continuous current to deliver the continuous torque of 240 A.
The model MHD131D-024-PP2-BN is equipped with digital servo feedback (HSF) with a multiturn absolute encoder for detecting the position of the shaft. The motor has four pole pairs along with the winding inductivity of 2.5 mH and the winding resistance of 0.08 Ohm at 20 degree Celsius.
