The MHD115C-058-PP1-AN is a servo motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MHD Synchronous Motors series. It uses winding code 058 in a size 115 frame with a C-length housing, giving the unit a substantial mechanical envelope for demanding motion axes. Digital servo feedback is provided by an optical absolute encoder with multi-turn coverage of more than 4096 revolutions, so position data is available directly to the drive controller. A keyed shaft with a shaft seal transfers torque while helping resist oil and dust ingress during machine operation. In packaging, gantry, and tooling stations, the motor converts electrical energy into tightly regulated rotational motion for accurate speed and position control.

The motor delivers a continuous standstill torque of 70.0 Nm, allowing an axis to hold load during static positioning without overheating. Heat generated under load is removed through liquid cooling, which supports sustained output in enclosed installations and other layouts where ambient air movement is limited. Its enclosure meets IP65, protecting internal parts from dust and directed water jets in wet or particulate-heavy areas. Closed-loop accuracy is rated at ± 0.5 angular minutes, and the optical measuring system helps keep path errors low during interpolation, low-speed control, and repeated positioning. The motor is intended for operation in ambient temperatures from 0 °C to 40 °C.

An integral holding brake prevents axis drift when power is removed, which is useful for vertical or suspended loads. Alignment on the machine face is supported by a 180 mm centering diameter and a 192 mm mounting flange, helping the housing seat accurately during installation. Class F insulation allows winding temperatures up to 155 °C, and storage is permitted from −20 °C to +80 °C when condensation is avoided. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above mean sea level, and power is routed to side A through an output connector.
