Product Description

Rexroth Bosch group is committed to meeting the motion needs of various industries e.g. vacuum molding, OEMs, pharmaceuticals, packaging, lumber, and printing among others. Among the products manufactured by this company are the MHD synchronous motors. The MHD motors have a relative or absolute position detector. There are three permissible types of installation for the MHD synchronous motors that include IM V1, IM B5, and IM V3. These motors may have either axial or radial blowers for maintaining them cool.

Power in these motors is supplied through the flange sockets with screwed connection or bayonet catch. Each motor has a type label where you can find its identity and service information. The information available on the type label of every motor is helpful in the procurement of its spare parts. The MHD synchronous motors can only operate with Indramat’s drive controllers. These motors are capable of operating with extreme loads on incessant start-stop operations. Excessive dirt, dust, and shavings can interfere with the performance of these motors and probably contribute to their failure. Therefore, the cooling ribs of these motors need to be cleaned regularly in order to have enough heat radiation surface.

The MHD115C-024-PP1-BA synchronous motor has a holding brake. This motor has a natural convection housing type. Additionally, this motor can be cooled using natural convection as well as surface cooling technologies. The length and winding code of this motor is C and 024 respectively. An optional sealing air connector can be attached to this motor by replacing the cover of its flange socket. Inside this motor, there is overpressure which prevents penetration of aggressive coolants, oils, and the like. When mounting the sealing air connector to the cover of the flange socket of this motor, an individual should ensure the O-rings are appropriately seated.
