The MHD series by Bosch Rexroth are synchronous motors designed to be used with the digital intelligent Indramat controllers to create cost-effective automation systems with extensive functionality. These motors are designed to be used as servo and main drive motors and can be applied across several areas. The MHD motors can be used in machine tools, printing and paper processing machines, food and packaging machines, handling, and automation systems. They are characterized by high dynamics, high operational reliability, high-performance data, high overload capability, and overload protection.
The MHD115C-024-NG0-AA has an encoder system which is digital servo feedback for detecting the relative indirect position of the motor and sending the appropriate feedback to the drive controller. The encoder system also controls its speed. It is equipped with a plain shaft with shaft sealing rings which ensures that the motor runs smoothly. It is designed to also function under adverse environmental conditions because of its closed motor design and a degree of protection of IP 65. This degree of protection guarantees protection against penetration by dust and water coming from different directions; it also protects against the motor against shock.
The power supply of the MHD115C-024-NG0-AA is via the INS0380 flange socket, and it has two electrical connections. The electrical connections are the power connector which includes a connection for the temperature sensor and an encoder connection. It should be operated at an ambient temperature of 40°C, relative humidity of 95%, and it should be set up at a height of 1000m above mean sea level. Its housing coat is black in a/w RAL 9005, which protects against harsh weather, coloring, chalking, diluted acids, and diluted lyes.
