The housing has a protection class of IP65, which helps keep dust and low-pressure water jets away from internal components. Position feedback is provided by an optical encoder, and closed-loop regulation benefits from a system precision of ± 0.5 angular minutes. Heat produced in the stator is removed by natural convection, so no external blower or liquid cooling circuit is required.
