The MHD115B-024-PP0-BN is a servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MHD Synchronous Motors series. It is intended for closed-loop axis control in automation lines where precise torque and position regulation are required. The motor combines a permanent-magnet rotor with integrated digital feedback, allowing it to work with a compatible drive controller for accurate motion and repeatable positioning. Because the feedback device is built into the motor, the drive can receive rotor position data without separate external transducers.
Its mechanical interface has a centering diameter of 180 mm and a flange square of 192 mm, allowing direct mounting to heavy machine frames. At standstill, the motor delivers 50.0 Nm of continuous torque, and winding code 024 is cooled by liquid cooling through the stator jacket. This cooling method removes heat directly from the motor housing, which helps the windings stay within their permitted temperature range during continuous duty. A keyed shaft transfers torque to the load, while a shaft seal helps block dust and fluid ingress and the housing is rated IP65. The size 115 frame with length code B uses a power connection on side B, which helps keep cable routing compact in enclosed installations. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, so static load retention must be provided externally when needed.
During operation, the motor maintains positional repeatability within ± 0.5 angular minutes, and the measuring system is Absolute (>4096 revolutions) for multi-turn position tracking after power loss. This allows the controller to retain position information across many shaft revolutions instead of only within one turn. It operates in ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C and can be stored between -20 to +80 °C without damage to the motor. The insulation system uses class F materials, and the optical measurement method supports stable feedback in normal industrial service. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level, and the assembly uses an output connector for a sealed electrical connection.
