The MHD115B-024-PP0-AA is a servo motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the MHD Synchronous Motors series. In an automation cell, it serves as the rotary axis that receives regulated current from the drive. It converts that input into mechanical torque and positions loads with feedback from its integrated absolute encoder. It is suited to axes that must respond accurately to commanded changes in position and speed.

The motor supplies a continuous standstill torque of 50.0 Nm, giving it enough holding force for presses, index tables, or vertically oriented axes. A sealed housing rated IP65 prevents dust and low-pressure water jets from reaching the stator windings, while heat exits the frame by natural convection, so no forced-air blower is required. Mechanical alignment to gearboxes or machine plates is supported by a 180 mm centering diameter and a square flange that measures 192 mm across. Position feedback is provided by digital servo feedback that uses an optical measuring method, so commutation data and multiturn angle values are returned to the controller through a single cable. The motor also uses a keyed shaft, and the power connector exits on side A of the stator housing.

The motion loop maintains a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes, and the absolute measuring range exceeds 4,096 revolutions. The winding code 024, insulation class F, and a permissible operating envelope of 0 to 40 °C set the thermal limits during continuous duty, while storage is allowed from −20 to 80 °C. Installation is permitted up to 1,000 m above mean sea level, and the B-length stator fits the 115 frame size without changing the mounting pattern. A built-in shaft seal blocks coolant splash at the output end, and the motor is supplied without a holding brake, which reduces mass and leaves static load retention to external means.
