Product Description:
The MHD115A-058-PP1-AA synchronous servo motor is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the MHD Synchronous Motors series. As a servo actuator, it converts electrical energy into regulated rotary motion for CNC axes, packaging machinery, and other industrial automation tasks that require tight position control. This model uses size 115 geometry and motor length A, which gives good power density without excessive depth. Its integrated digital feedback, keyed shaft interface, and IP-rated housing allow direct mounting to a machine frame and coupling to gearboxes or loads without additional covers.
At stall, the motor delivers a continuous torque of 32.0 Nm, giving the drive a stable force margin for holding or low-speed profiling. The housing has an IP65 protection rating, so airborne dust and directed water jets cannot reach live components. A flange diameter of 192 mm fits common mounting patterns and centers on a 180 mm pilot bore for concentric alignment. The F insulation class tolerates winding temperatures up to 155 °C during operation near rated load. Position repeatability is supported by a system accuracy of ± 0.5 angular minutes, and the optical digital servo encoder also supplies absolute position data beyond 4096 revolutions.
The electromagnetic holding brake supplies 70.0 Nm of static torque, which helps prevent shaft movement during power-off conditions on vertical or suspended axes. Heat removal relies on natural convection, so the motor should operate within an ambient range of 0 to 40 °C to avoid derating. For storage, the motor can remain between -20 to +80 °C without damage to the insulation or magnets. The winding code 058 indicates electrical resistance and inductance values suited to standard Indramat drive modules. Power leads exit on side A through an output connector, the shaft seal helps prevent leakage, and installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level.
