The MHD115A-058-NG0-BA is a servo motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MHD Synchronous Motors series. It converts commanded electrical power into controlled rotary motion for industrial axes that require precise positioning and stable speed control. Its design is suited to multi-axis systems where low component count is important. This makes it suitable for coordinated motion tasks in handling, packaging, and similar machinery. Because the motor is supplied without a holding brake, the axis must use mechanical locking or continuous drive torque when power is removed. Thermal energy is dissipated through natural convection, allowing use where forced airflow is limited and only the motor surface is exposed to ambient air.
At the mechanical interface, the unit has a centering diameter of 180 mm and mounts to a 192 mm square IEC flange, matching the 115 frame size and the compact A-length housing. A plain shaft with an integral seal helps prevent oil ingress, and the power leads exit on side B through an output connector that supports orderly cable routing. Continuous stall torque reaches 32.0 Nm, and the F-class winding insulation marked F supports this load during standstill operation. The housing is sealed to IP65, so dust and water jets are kept away from internal parts. System accuracy is held to within ±0.5 angular minutes, supported by the relative position detection used with the high-speed feedback system. The motor can operate in surrounding air from 0 to 40 °C and can be stored from -20 to +80 °C without damage to the magnets or insulation. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above mean sea level. Above that height, reduced air density lowers convective cooling and the output must be derated.
