The Bosch MHD115A-024-NP0-BA is an industrial servo motor. It is a synchronous motor whose shaft speed is synchronized to the input current frequency. It is supplied without a holding brake. Bosch offers a 70 Nm rated holding brake for MHD115 motors. This brake can be included in the motor order if required. MHD motors are available with a range of cooling options that include natural convection, surface cooling and liquid cooling. The MHD115A-024-NP0-BA motor is designed for natural convection and surface cooling. The recommended operating ambient temperature range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. If the customer application involves high loads and requires surface cooling, then one of two optional cooling fan units need to be included in the motor order. One of the fan units operates at 230 Volts AC and the other operates at 115 Volts AC.
The other differences between the fan units include power consumption and mean hourly air volume. The weight of the fan units is about 1.1 to 1.2 kilograms. Both fan units provide axial cooling and produce air flow in the “blowing” direction. The MHD115A-024-NP0-BA is a flange-mounted device and has a flange that measures 192 millimeters. The motor includes integrated support for digital servo feedback. The shaft on the MHD115A-024-NP0-BA includes a seal and a key.
