The Bosch MHD112B-048-PG1-BN is a MHD servo motor. It is available in a completely sealed housing with IP65 protection rating. The motor shaft is plain and features a sealing ring. The shaft seal serves to prevent leakage of oil from the motor. The shaft seal also protects the motor from environmental contaminants. As a result, the motor can be installed very near the operating machinery. This allows cable lengths to be reduced, simplifies installation and troubleshooting, and lowers the total cost of ownership. The power cable from the drive controller that drives the MHD112B-048-PG1-BN motor connects to a power connector on side B of the housing.
