For motor speed control and motor positioning, the motor uses an integrated encoder system that supplies the drive controller with relevant signals. This encoder system is the digital servo feedback (HSF) with integrated multiturn absolute encoder. It is also equipped with a holding brake of 32Nm for clamping the servo axis when the machine is de-energized.

The housing of the MHD093B-058-PG2-BA has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 according to DIN VDE 0470, hence it is completely shock- and dust-resistant.
