The MHD093A-058-NG0-BA is a IP65 rated synchronous motor. It is part of the MHD family of motors from Bosch Rexroth. The motor housing is designed for natural convection or surface cooling. Therefore it should be ensured that the air can flow freely around an operating motor. Otherwise the ambient temperature will not be within the 0 to 40 degrees Celsius range that is recommended by Bosch. If this happens then the internal temperature of the motor – which is higher than the ambient temperature – may reach critical levels which could cause the motor components to malfunction. The altitude of the site where the motor is installed should be less than 1000 meters. The permissible storage temperature range for MHD motors is -20 to 80 degrees Celsius. The insulation class of the MHD093A-058-NG0-BA, as per DIN VDE 0530 part 1, is F.

The environmental protection rating of the MHD093A-058-NG0-BA motor housing is IP65. The first digit of the rating indicates protection from solids and the second digit indicates protection from liquids.
