Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s MHD090B-058-PG0-UN is a servo motor in the MHD Synchronous Motors series. The unit combines motor size 090 with length designation B and winding code 058, giving it electrical and mechanical characteristics suited for closed-loop drive systems. It uses digital servo feedback to provide absolute position data to the controller, and the plain shaft couples directly to gearboxes or load elements without a keyway. Delivered without a holding brake, the motor depends on external mechanisms for static load support when power is removed.
At standstill, the motor can deliver 12.0 Nm of continuous torque, enabling stable force generation for indexing axes. The housing relies on liquid cooling to remove heat from the stator so the torque can be sustained without derating. A mounting flange of 140 mm mates to standard machine interfaces, while the 110 mm centering diameter aligns the rotor concentrically with the load. The enclosure carries an IP65 rating, which helps prevent dust ingress and high-pressure water jets from reaching internal windings. Position feedback uses an optical measurement method, and the encoder supports a system accuracy of ± 0.5 angular minutes.
For installation, the power and feedback connectors are mounted on the stator housing and are turnable through 270°, which simplifies cable routing in confined spaces. The windings use insulation class F, permitting hot-spot temperatures up to 155 °C without loss of dielectric strength, and a shaft seal helps protect the bearing chamber from coolant or debris. Operation is specified from 0 °C to 40 °C, while storage can span -20 to +80 °C; both limits apply at setup heights of up to 1000 m above mean sea level. The encoder also supports absolute tracking over more than 4096 revolutions, eliminating the need for homing after power cycles.
