Product Description:
The MHD071B-035-PG2-UN is a servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MHD Synchronous Motors series. In automated assembly cells, pick-and-place axes, and packaging stations, this motor converts regulated drive current into repeatable rotary motion. This allows position and speed loops to close cleanly at the controller during repetitive machine cycles. The motor is intended for applications that require accurate starts, stops, and controlled speed changes.
Mechanical sizing begins with a centering diameter of 95 mm that aligns the housing to its mating surface, while a square flange of 115 mm provides the bolt circle needed for rigid mounting. Inside the stator, the selected winding yields a continuous standstill torque of 8.0 Nm; this rating indicates the load the motor can hold without movement when energized. Frame designation 071 identifies the overall diameter class and keeps the motor suitable for mid-range inertia applications. Heat generated by copper losses is removed by liquid cooling, allowing higher current density than similarly sized air-cooled units. Power and feedback conductors exit on combined connectors, and the plain shaft accepts couplings or pulleys without a keyway. A shaft seal is installed to help prevent coolant or process fluids from entering the bearing chamber.
A holding brake provides 6.5 Nm of static torque during power-off stops, and the brake coil is routed through the same turnable connector block, which can be rotated through 270° to simplify cable routing in tight spaces. Because the brake and signal connections share that turnable block, cable orientation can be adjusted without changing the motor mounting position. Motor length code B keeps the overall depth consistent within this series. Absolute position feedback over 4096 revolutions is delivered by a digital encoder, enabling homing-free restarts after shutdowns. The integrated servo feedback electronics monitor rotor angle at high resolution, and the 035 winding works with this feedback system to give the drive predictable inductance and resistance values for current-controlled operation.
