The MHD041A-144-NG0-UN is a servo motor manufactured by Indramat. It is made using permanent magnets and it uses electronic commutation. This greatly reduces the motor’s maintenance cost. The motor is of high efficiency and has the flexibility to be used in a wide range of applications. The motor, being so efficient and much more affordable as compared to its counterparts in the market, is one of the best choices for end users. The motor can be used in any way relevant to its capabilities. It has been used mainly in printing, textile, and packaging & handling industries.
The motor is integrated with a digital feedback encoder (HSF) which provides a signal for the control drive. This enables the user to have control of the motor position relative to a set point. For connection to the element to be driven, the MHD041A-144-NG0-UN uses a plain shaft with a shaft sealing ring.
The motor is designed for natural convention cooling. There are two options available depending on the over-temperature point of the intended application. The user can choose the 60K or 100K over-temperature. Because of natural convention cooling, the motor does not have additional components on its frame. It is recommended that the motor is installed in a suitable environment that allows free air flow. The maximum permissible ambient temperature is 40ºc, and the permissible transport and storage temperature is -20 to +80o.
The MHD041A-144-NG0-UN motor has a frame size of 82mm flange and 50mm centering diameter. The length is classified as “A” by the manufacturer. This is the length of motors with continuous holding torque at standstill of 1.3Nm. It uses IP65 body covering protection making it safe from dust.
The motor allows transmission using planetary gears series GTS, GTP, and GTM and worm gears of series 058. These gears have high operational reliability, high performance data, and are easily attached to the machine.
