Bosch Rexroth’s MDD digital AC servo motors are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with electronic commutation. Different models are available in this series with varying degrees of torque and speed. These powerful motors have extensive functionality and can be used for just about any application. With the electronic commutation, they have a high cyclic load capacity, making them suitable for high-frequency operations. Together with intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat, the MDD digital AC servo motors create cost-effective and rapid-response automation systems.

The MDD112D-N-030-N2M-130GB1 is equipped with digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn encoder for absolute indirect position evaluation on the motor. This feedback system uses the optical measurement method and has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. The motor is suitable for high precision operations where an extreme degree of synchronism is required, such as in grinding machines. It has high overload capabilities as heat is dissipated via natural convection and conduction from the stator windings to the outside wall of the motor housing.

A 14.0 Nm blocking brake is present in the MDD112D-N-030-N2M-130GB1 for a backlash-free holding of the servo axes when the machine is powered off. It has a plain shaft for non-positive shaft hub connections and the backlash-free, non-positive transmission of the torque. Its housing design is standard and in line with the guidelines of DIN 40050. It protects the motor against contact with high voltage motor parts, either moving or alive, penetration by extrinsic objects, and water jets.
