Product Description

MDD motors by Bosch Rexroth provide high contouring accuracies at high speed rates. This is especially useful when they are used for cutting at high speed ranges. Their applications include robotics, food packaging machines, and transfer facilities.

The MDD112C-N-040-N2M-130GB1 is a permanent magnet-excited servo motor in the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth. It permits the direct attachment of pinions and belt pulleys to its shaft, as its bearings support the application of high radial loads. Its plain output shaft ensures a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash. Like others in the series, the shaft has an attached sealing ring for keeping fluids from penetrating the motor. The servo motor is cooled by natural convection and surface cooling. This makes it suitable for extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. Since it is electronically commutated, it also has a high cyclic load capacity that supports such operations.

Using the closed-circuit principle, the blocking brake in the MDD112C-N-040-N2M-130GB1 holds the servo axis when the machine is disconnected from power. It has a holding torque of 14.0Nm. The motor’s feedback type is digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. It evaluates its absolute indirect position and stores the information obtained in the intelligent digital drive. Consequently, there is no need for a separate incremental encoder. With its data memory, the motor’s startup is faster, as it stores its relevant parameters, setting them upon startup. Lifetime-lubricated bearings in this MDD model improve its operational reliability since they reduce the downtime associated with relubrication and present less risk of wear and tear. The servo motor should be operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 45oC.
