Merging the MDD synchronous servo motors with digital intelligent drive controllers from Indramat forms rapid-response automation systems. The servo motors with electronic commutation feature a compact build and a high power-to-weight ratio. Their applications include handling equipment and textile machines.

The MDD112B-N-030-N2M-130PB1 is a Bosch Rexroth MDD motor using digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. This encoder functions using the optical measuring principle and has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. It detects the motor’s absolute indirect position and retains the information obtained even after power is switched off. Its data memory stores important motor parameters and ensures that the drive can be operated without causing damage. Like other MDD motors, the bearings of this motor remain lubricated throughout their service life. This permits its maintenance-free and cost-effective operation. It also has a brushless design to reduce wear and tear, improving its efficiency.

A variety of ready-made cables are used with the MDD112B-N-030-N2M-130PB1 to eliminate additional installation work. It can be installed in any orientation and supports the application of high radial loads. This allows the direct attachment of pinions and belt pulleys to its shaft. Protecting the MDD motor from chalky buildup, yellowing, and weathering is a black prime varnish used to paint its housing.
