The MDD093C-N-030-N2L-130GB1 is a synchronous servo motor in the MDD series with a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute. It has a brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings with a nominal lifetime of 30,000 operating hours. Thanks to electronic commutation, it has a high cyclic load capacity that supports extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. The motor’s sealed housing has an Ingress Protection Rating of IP 65 per EN 60529, proving that it is touch-proof, dust-proof, and impermeable to water jet sprays. This allows it to be operated without the risk of damage under poor environmental conditions. The housing is also coated with a black prime varnish with resistance against chalky buildup, yellowing, weathering, dilute acids, and lyes.

Heat generated during the operation of the MDD093C-N-030-N2L-130GB1 is achieved via natural convection. The cooling mechanism works with a temperature gradient that aids the transfer of heat from the machine to the ambient air and its external walls. This motor’s integrated encoder system is digital servo feedback with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. It detects the motor’s relative indirect position and stores it in the digital drive controller. Its control loop parameters and type name are stored in the data storage of this encoder to facilitate its rapid startup and safe adaptation to the drive controller. The ideal maximum motor installation height is 1,000m above sea level.
