Food processing and packaging machines, textile machines, and robotics are some of the applications for which the MDD servo motors by Bosch Rexroth are suitable. These synchronous servo motors are combined with Indramat digital drive controllers to form rapid-response automation systems.

The MDD093B-N-020-N2M-130PA0 is one of the servo motors designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth in the MDD series. It has digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder used for detecting its absolute indirect position detection. This encoder’s system accuracy is ±0.5 angular minutes and uses the optical measurement principle to guarantee high precision. With its data memory, where relevant information like the motor type name are stored, it reduces the motor’s startup time and helps it adjust safely to the drive controller. The motor’s nominal speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute, while its torque constant at 20oC is 0.86 Nm/A. At this same temperature, its winding resistance is 0.77 Ohm.

Thanks to its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings, the MDD093B-N-020-N2M-130PA0 can be operated maintenance-free. These bearings have a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours. The installation of the servo motor can be done easily as it can be mounted in any desired position. It also allows the direct attachment of pinions and belt pulleys to the shaft as its design supports high radial loads. Like other MDD models, there is a sensitive temperature sensor in this servo motor that monitors its temperature and prevents damage due to overload.
