Product Description

The Bosch MDD090C-N-030-N2L-110PL2 is a servo motor. It is designed for industrial applications such as textiles, tools, packaging machines, and transfer facilities. The motor has a standard housing that is suited to natural convection and surface cooling. For extreme loads, it is possible to mount a surface-cooling unit to the motor. Blower motors operating with 230 Volts AC and 115 Volts AC supply voltage are available. The blower unit represents a separate component and can only be ordered with the use of its own order number. When ordered, the surface-cooling unit is delivered mounted to the motors and ready to connect. Two possible types of surface cooling are available: axial and radial surface cooling. Axial cooling is suited to applications that need a slender form. Radial cooling is suited to applications that need a short construction.

Nominal speed rating of the MDD090C-N-030-N2L-110PL2 motor is 3000 RPM. The motor supports digital servo feedback. This feature allows motor use with servo controllers for high-precision applications. MDD motors can be equipped with optional blocking brakes for a backlash-free holding of the servo axes when the machine is powered off. The blocking brake, especially developed for MDD motors, works according to the closed-circuit principle. At zero current, a magnetic force acts on the brake armature disc. This means that the brake is locked and holding off the axis. With the application of a 24 Volts DC signal, the electrical field cancels the permanent magnetic field and the brake opens. The intelligent digital drive controller activates the blocking brake. The blocking brake on the motor is rated for 11 Nm.  The main shaft on the MDD090C-N-030-N2L-110PL2 has a keyway as per DIN 6885-1. The motor power connection is on the left side of the housing.
