The MAC112D-0-ED-4-C/180-B-0/WA612XX/S011 is a MAC servo motor designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is fitted with an output shaft with keyway according to DIN 6885-1, which provides form-fitting torque transmission. Its sealing ring is attached to the motor’s flange and ensures that liquids do not penetrate the housing. Given its IP 65 Ingress Protection rating according to DIN 40 050, the MAC model can be used under poor environmental conditions without the risk of damage. It also uses tacho feedback, power, and encoder cables that meet the demands of this protection rating, meaning they are touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to water jet sprays. The motor has a centering diameter of 180mm and permits mounting with throughholes per design IM B5 and with windings per design IM B14.
To ensure the high-precision detection and evaluation of its rotor position and velocity, the MAC112D-0-ED-4-C/180-B-0/WA612XX/S011 is equipped with tacho feedback with a mounted encoder. This encoder’s design allows it to withstand different kinds of environmental conditions without function compromise. The servo motor has thermo switches in its windings and stator housing to closely monitor its temperature and prevent permanent damage due to thermal overload. It has a rotor whose permanent magnets are made from rare-earth materials to give low inertia. Based on this, its torque-inertia ratio favors highly dynamic operations. The lifetime-lubricated bearings in the MAC model have a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours.
