With the WI523LV incremental encoder, the MAC112C-1-ED-4-C/130-A-1/WI523LV/S023 is an AC servo motor perfect for low torque and high-speed robotics applications as the motor offers a torque of 24 Nm along with a high-speed rating of 3000 rotations per minute. This motor configuration also comes with a 3 volts per 1000 rpm tacho feedback system to help regulate the speed of the motor according to application or user preferences.
The servo motor primarily runs on a closed-loop control system with the help of the incremental encoder and the tacho feedback system for generating feedback signals to enhance the output by reducing the size of the error continuously. The encoder on this motor requires 5 volts DC to operate and draws approximately 28 mA of current. It generates 5-volt square wave signals whenever the motor detects an increment and has an increment resolution of 1024 increments per revolution. The encoder relies on a digital encoder interface capable of tracking on a single rotation and only transmits position values to the motor controller module.
To keep the motor cool during high-speed rotations, the MAC112C-1-ED-4-C/130-A-1/WI523LV/S023 comes with an axial fan that helps regulate the internal temperature of the motor, allowing it to bring down the temperature of the motor to a safe operational level to prevent the motor from overheating and shutting down automatically. The blower is IP 24 protected to keep it safe against dust and moisture, while the motor itself is IP 65 protected, allowing it to be installed in extreme environments such as production houses, warehouses, manufacturing plants, process plants, refineries, etc.
